Heating Repair, heat pump:
My heat pump won't run:
1. Make sure the thermostat is in the heat position. On newer thermostats the changeover switch is call the "Mode" button. Push the button until the words heat appear on the thermostat.
4. Check the circuit breaker. If it is tripped, reset it. If it trips again call us 965-9592.
My heat pump is blowing cold air:
2. Check to see if there is ice buildup on the outdoor unit. If there is, turn you heat pump to EM heat. It may take 4 or more hours to clear all the ice. If the filter was not dirty, you may have a service issue. The ice will have to be melted before we can determine what is wrong. Please call us at 965-9592.
2. Make sure the thermostat fan switch is in the auto position. If the fan switch is in the on position the blower will run all the time, even when the furnace is not heating. This will cause it to blow unheated air around the house
